In 1902, Provident began serving its community’s insurance needs as an independent insurance agency. Then in 1928, Provident started serving volunteer fire departments with our first blanket Accident & Health insurance policy to protect the financial livelihood of volunteer firefighters. Come 1962, we further expanded this coverage for volunteer firefighters to include Heart & Illness related coverage and have continued over the years to be a pioneer and leader in developing insurance coverages.
Today, we provide bespoke coverages for paid and volunteer firefighters, EMS providers, municipal entities, and law enforcement. Our product catalogue includes the following insurances: FirePlus (Property & Casualty), Accident & Health, 24-Hour Accidental Death & Dismemberment, Group Term Life, Critical Illness (Group Cancer), and a First Responder Assistance Program (FRAP).
In addition, we’ve extended our expertise and experience to offer Special Risks coverages to various participant groups. We offer products for: volunteer groups; nonprofit organizations, associations, and affinity groups; youth and adult amateur sports organizations; youth and adult activities groups; camps, clinics, and conferences; day care centers; municipal and nonprofit boards.
Contact us HERE to find out more about our solutions and how we can help address the various risks in the communities we serve.
Station 1902 is a private podcast with exclusive content and interviews with industry leaders just for you.
